Areas of Practice

I work with adults and teenagers with diverse identities, including trans, BIPOC, and neurodivergent people. I’m committed to creating a safe space where your unique experiences are heard and held with care.

Trauma

My approach to trauma therapy weaves together attachment science, parts work and somatic techniques. I balance teaching skills for managing trauma-related symptoms with holding compassionate space.

Trauma therapy involves 3 components

  • Guiding the nervous system to a calm, grounded state

  • Gently processing and making sense of past experiences

  • Cultivating compassion for the protective patterns we developed to survive

I support those who have experienced:

  • Abuse

  • Neglect

  • Sexual Assault

  • Relationship Trauma

  • Bullying

  • Grief and Loss

  • Marginalization

  • Familial Trauma

Self Compassion

The research on self compassion shows that it increases happiness, resilience, and connection while reducing shame and self-criticism.

I use parts work to gently turn the kindness you show others inward, fostering a supportive relationship with yourself so that you can navigate life’s challenges with greater strength and balance.

Relieving for those who:

  • Have a harsh inner critic

  • Feel there is something wrong with them

  • Strive to always have it together

  • Procrastinate and struggle with motivation

  • Struggle to identify and communicate their needs

Relationships

Whether with family, friends, partners or colleagues; relationships can be challenging.

I use approaches like Emotionally Focused Therapy for Individuals (EFiT) to identify your relational needs, improve communication, and transform your relationships.

Where are your relationships stuck?

  • Same conflict over and over again

  • Feeling unheard

  • Resentment

  • Feeling trapped or powerless

  • Struggling to name your own needs

Overwhelm

When emotions become overwhelming, it’s hard to know what to do. Many of us turn to distractions or numbing in order to get by. Over time, these patterns of protecting ourselves from big feelings can wear us down.

I work with those who are overwhelmed by...

  • Anxiety

  • Depression

  • Chronic Stress

  • Life Changes

  • Relationship Conflict

  • ADHD

  • BPD

  • Trauma

My approach balances taking space to understand and accept emotions with offering tools for emotional regulation and self-care. Together, we’ll find ways for you to self-soothe, address recurring stressors, and build coping skills to help you navigate overwhelming feelings.

Life Changes

Navigating life changes, even positive ones, can be tough. It’s completely normal to feel a mix of emotions like anxiety, confusion, or stress during these times. Parts work can help you give space and voice to all the different aspects of your experience, allowing you to find balance and clarity as you adjust.

What are you navigating?

  • Relationship change

  • Career change

  • Death of a loved one

  • Receiving a diagnosis

  • Changes in identity

  • Moving to a new place
